The Canberra Chapter of the MX-5 Club of NSW exists to support those members in the Canberra region who cannot participate in the events conducted by the MX-5 Club of NSW in the Sydney area. We also enjoy the company of members from the Southern Highlands, the South Coast, Goulburn and Wagga.

 Info
  • Information About the Chapter
Membership is about having fun, and sharing your enthusiasm for the Mazda MX5 with other like-minded people. To this end, the Canberra Chapter organises at least one formal run each month and conducts subsidised events to celebrate Christmas, Christmas in July and a beginning of the year BBQ. If you were to attend each of these activities, the subsidies alone will exceed your membership fee. In addition we often have informal events, when a couple of members get together for a drive in the country or attend a show or other activities.
  • In 2008, 26 members in 15 cars went to Tasmania for a two week trip following the route of Targa Tasmania. In 2006, we conducted a two week journey which took in the two Great Roads, the Great Ocean Road and the Great Alpine Road.
  • Drives are organised (generally) on the 3rd Sunday of each month. It’s something to see lots of MX5s in convoy. Its great fun to be part of one too!
  • Canberra is envied for its "Coffee and Lies", a get together on the first Saturday of each month from 10 am. All MX5 owners are invited to attend.
  • On the last Wednesday of each month we hold a chapter meeting to confirm and plan events. We meet at Southern Cross Club in Jamison at 7:30 pm. The meetings last about 1/2 an hour. Come for the chit chat and to check out the new range of Mazdas.
  • The Club Motor Sports Program includes motorkhanas, supersprints, open race days and driver training. The Club caters for all levels from beginner to advanced, and they’re a good way to learn car control.
  • Natmeet is a national meeting of all the MX5 clubs in Australia and is held every two years in a different state. This is a huge event not to be missed! The 2010 NATMEET was held in Mclaren Vale, South Australia.

We look forward to catching up with you soon.
