August Chapter Run - A DAM SUPERB DRIVE
Norm and Roz Barker are leading the Aug run to Cowra via Boorowa and Wyangala Dam to Cowra. The total distance return is 390 klm.
We will stop at Boorowa for morning coffee. The Superb Bakery has excellent coffee and a wonderful selection of bakery items. It is used to catering for groups and has plenty of room.
The road out to Wyangala Dam is interesting and a good drive for our cars. We will go to Cowra via Darby Falls.
Lunch is at the Japanese Gardens and they have reserved space for us and will do a set menu for $18 per head. It will be alternate serving of Chicken Schnitzel and Battered Fish with salad and chips. Tea and coffee with a bottomless cup (sounds messy but you can cope, comment just for Dennis). I will need commitments to the run so I can confirm numbers.
After lunch there is a choice of touring the Gardens at your cost or a short run past the POW camp ruins and to the Japanese cemetery. We will all meet opposite the information centre for the run home.
Please let Norm and Roz know if you intend to come. Money in advance would help considerably and can be done at the next meeting or coffee and lies. We can also send our bank account details when you confirm your place.
